The rules have changed, more coverage is available. As the Coronavirus situation quickly evolves, we wish to share the current information regarding NYS State Disability Benefits Law Policy claims and Paid Family Leave (PFL) Act claims. While your NYS DBL/PFL may not be written through our office, we want you to have information that will be helpful for any employer or employee.

By the order of Gov. Andrew Cuomo, if an employee is under an order of mandatory or precautionary quarantine or isolation issued by the State of New York, the Department of Health, local board of health, or any government entity duly authorized to issue such order due to COVID-19, PFL and/or Disability Benefits may be available to them. As such, updated PFL/Disability forms have been made available which will allow covered employees to file for claims for themselves, if quarantined, and/or if they need to care for quarantined child(ren).
